To upgrade your CT-scan to a Move Forward™ 3D motion simulation report we need DICOM (.dcm) files with the following requirements:
- The DICOM files should contain the transverse series of a standard CT-scan.
- The CT-scan should have a slice thickness of at most 1.0 mm (preferably less).
- To compute femoral anteversion you should also send us a few CT-slices in which the femoral condyles are clearly visible.
You can greatly reduce the radiation dose you deliver to your patients by only imaging the anatomical area we need. Not only is this better for your patient, it makes uploading the CT-data a lot faster too! When you request a CT-scan for our hip reports, we only need to see the joint area from the anterior superior iliac spine down to the lesser trochanter.
