See beyond, Move Forward
3D motion simulation of joints
Joint problems are dynamic and multi-dimensional. Today’s static imaging leaves much to the imagination. It is time for change. It is time to see beyond and to move forward. Imagine you could see your standard imaging interactively, in motion and in 3D. Online, free of hurdles. Without the need for specialized software or hardware. Meet Move Forward, the new standard in joint imaging.
Move Forward hip impingement report (FAI)
Interactive 3D view in motion
Traditional imaging modalities such as CT or MRI sometimes fail to depict the bone shape variations that may lead to femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) or hip impingement. The complex relationship between the acetabular cup and the femoral head and how these interact during motion is difficult to grasp without an actual visual representation. Our Move Forward 3D motion simulation report for hip impingement (FAI) is the missing link. It provides an interactive 3D view of the hip joint in motion. Our 3D reports are based on either CT or MRI scans and very easy to use.

Sophisticated 3D motion simulations
Using our extensively validated 3D motion simulation model we determine how the femoral head translates in the joint. This provides for an accurate way to determine when motion is halted by bone-on-bone impingement. Reports contain ten different 3D motion tests, ranging from basic flexion to complex combined motion patterns. The exact points of contact are highlighted in the report. In addition to these advanced calculations, the reports include radiographic parameters such as acetabular version, joint coverage, alpha angles and LCE angles.

Intersection zones & potential effects
When simulated motion is limited, the Move Forward hip impingement report (FAI) provides simulated intersection zones that each individually increase the simulated range of motion. This provides insight in the potential effects of intersections, supporting you to make the best decision for your patient and minimizing the risk of residual impingement after surgery. We provide multiple intersection zones: your clinical judgment completes the equation to optimize clinical outcome.
